Morningsong woke up early and heard her kits mewling in protest to the empty bellies because Morning hadn't had a decent meal in days. "I'm sorry my darlings! I need food in order for there to be milk!" She whispered, as she heard her leader nearby. "Hush..." She waved her tail over the 2 little bundles of fur, making them quiet.

Irritated, Ivorystar grumbled underneath his breath as he passed the nursery. Those stupid kits had been mewling for hours now, and his sleep was being disturbed. After he couldn't take it anymore, he dashed inside, hissing at Morningsun and slashing the noisy kit. "Shut up you stupid mouse brain!" He spat and stood there, fury in his eyes. [/sup][/size] |

Cloverstep stood petrified at the entrance to the nursery. "Y-you... you shouldn't do that to kits," she mewed, barely above a whisper. Ivorystar terrified her, but she couldn't allow him to treat a kit that way. Her wide-eyed gaze switched to Morningsong, and she gave the mother a sympathetic look.

Pushing her kits away from Ivorystar, she got up, growling. "If you touch me or my kits again, you are going to pay..." Morningsong hissed as she slid out her claws, ready to fight. She nodded to Cloverstep in thanks. If it had been another queens kits, she would have been like Clover, a little weary, but these were HER kits! She would NOT let this happen!
